“Sacks are not the easiest to achieve in today’s game with the big bodies on the line and how quick Quarterbacks get the ball off. However, only giving up one single sack in seven games is very difficult to do. Troy’s Offensive Line has defied all of those odds and have given up the fewest sacks in the FBS this season.

Through seven games this season, Troy has thrown the ball 266 times. This stat is no joke when the team is throwing that much. To put that into perspective, other teams giving up a small number of sacks are allowing them every 50-60 pass plays. Troy is allowing one sack every 266 pass attempts. Sounds pretty legit to at least debate how good this offensive line is.

Only two other schools in the entire NCAA have not given up a single sack this season so far, The Citadel (FCS) and Salve Regina (DIII). The Citadel only has 56 pass attempts and Salve Regina has 142, to put that in comparison with Troy.

“”We haven’t been bowl eligible in a while, that was important to our fans as well. Everything we worked on in the offseason was overcoming adversity, and I really think that paid off,”” said Head Coach Neal Brown on the Troy Trojans Athletics website. This play must include a big thank you to the Offensive Line. Troy’s Offensive Line has been dominate all season and are looking to continue that type of play on November 5th against the UMass Minutemen.
