Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

Our teams’ main goal was to play for each other. My main goal this season was to be a Leader on and off the field. Some of my personal goals this season included getting the greatest number of yards in a season than ever. Also, I wanted to improve on both getting open out of my breaks and staying low while blocking. In addition, I wanted to encourage my teammates to achieve their goals. My final goal was be First Team All-Conference tight end.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches would say that I am a team-oriented player, because I’m always looking to find what will better the team. My teammates would say I was a hardworking, do whatever it takes type of guy who is always looking to learn something new.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

When I study film of myself at the beginning of the season I focus on big issues, such as, head placement, footwork, and pad level. As the season goes on, I try to hone in on more detailed issues such as hand placement and finishing plays.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I played O-Line from high school all the way up until my freshman year of college. I had a few D2 offers but no D1’s. I feel like I have to prove myself. I didn’t get many looks out of high school due to my size and the fact that I played O- line. I later was moved to tight end my redshirt sophomore year. I got honorable mention that year. My final year I got first team all-conference. What separates me from other pro prospect tight ends is my mindset. I don’t give up on anything or anybody. Also, my willingness to learn is substantial. I want to win. I want to break records, as a team, as a position group and individually.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

My offseason plans as of now are to maximize my abilities. I want to work on my explosiveness, my technique, my strength, and speed. I also want to improve my football IQ.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I am a student of the game. I study film diligently. I am learning more about the game every day.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

It’s a blessing to have this opportunity. I will not let it go to waste. I am very coachable and can play multiple positions. Not only can I play tight end, but I can also play full back. I will work hard at all phases of the game and any position I am put in, including special teams.
