School: Midland University
Q: In your final collegiate season, what goals did you accomplish this fall or set for this upcoming spring?
Well for one, I just want to thank the man above for the opportunity, But to get back to the question, I was just glad that we were able to actually play the games that with did, especially with everything that’s going on in the world. One of my main goals was to finish the season with a winning season which we ended up doing, I would say a goal of mine was to get all conference, I got 2nd which is fine by me, but I was not satisfied because I know I could have done more.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would say that I’m a hard worker who just wants to win, it’s all about winning for me and helping others any way I can, I know my teammates looked at me as a role model especially the WRs, they would say I’m a team player that is reliable and able to get the job done.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?
When I’m studying film, I focus on things like, if I’m running a route, how could I improve on that route, could I make a better cut, did I get in and out of my break smoothly, did I create enough separation from the defender, and how I could improve on that. Also on the blocking aspect, was my head on the right side, did I have enough leverage, and just little things like that.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me is that I will get the job done no matter what, I feel that my maturity going into that next level will play a huge part. I can get after it and I know I will compete against whoever is lined up on the other side of the ball.
Q: What is your plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities, especially with the virus limiting pro days/training facilities/etc?
My plan is to work with my strength and conditioning coach and as well as my speed coach back home. Knowing I have guys like that in my corner to work with me, know I’ll do great at whatever task I’m asked to do.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Some strengths and abilities that I will bring, is me being being me. Not trying to be anyone else but myself. I feel that whatever strengths and abilities that I already have, plus putting training on top of that, the sky is the limit, and I truly feel that I could be one of the best prospects out there. That’s on and off the field, like I said, just being myself and letting God handle the rest.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL/CFL or any other professional leagues?
My final pitch is pretty much, you’re truly getting a Diamond in the rough and I just want to show you guys what I can do on that field. Just want an opportunity to showcase my talents that’s all. I truly appreciate it all.
