Name: Darius Wade
School: Bowling Green
Position: QB
Height: 6’1″
Weight: 216

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I was in a position where I was not sure if I would be able to play football again. My goal going into the season was to stay healthy and prove to those around me and myself that I can still play at a high level and I believe I have accomplished that.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

They would see me as a hard worker and someone who loves football and to compete. They would also see me as being goofy and someone who is always smiling.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

As a quarterback it is essential when watching film to focus on your opponents defense. Having a strong knowledge of your opponent inside and out puts you in position to succeed. I also evaluate my practice film to help correct mistakes. This is a key in watching film as it can help you improve and limit your mistakes.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I am someone who has been through adversity and come out of the other side a better man because of it. I believe I am a quarterback who fits the mold of the new quarterback. The age of the 6’5 quarterback is no longer the NFL mold it is now the 6’0 – 6’2 dual threat quarterback. I have good escapeability, a live arm and the poise and confidence to play this position.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I have been selected to participate in the HBCU America Bowl as well as the NFL Regional Combine. I will train at school with my football team until I am able to get signed by an agency and then will prepare according to their regiment and guidelines.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

My competitiveness is a strength of mine that I believe will stand out both on and off the field. My competitiveness along with my character are two things that will be appreciated by whatever team gives me the opportunity.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

“I will not let you down.” All I am looking for is the opportunity to live out my dream and play professional football. I will give you everything I have to become the best player and teammate that I can be.
