What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
In my final season I was really trying to accomplish more team oriented goals such as leaving a winning culture behind and developing a stronger bond between my teams and myself.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I took advantage by trying to learn as much about my teams defense as possible. I knew i had a ton of film of me playing man to man in press coverage which is one of my strengths so with the help of my defensive backs coach and defensive coordinator I was about to work on more off coverage as well as zone coverage.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
I feel my coaches and teammates would say that I’m someone that they can count on whether it’s in the classroom, on the field or just for some advice. I am also someone who leads by example and isn’t afraid of the big moment.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
The things I always want to improve on are getting in and out of my breaks faster and being able to step in the box and guard bigger body’s such as an explosive tight end.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
What separates me from other pro prospects at my position is my size and speed combination as well as my football IQ.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
I have been training with one of my childhood friends who has some college coaching experience and I’ll also be starting my training with D1 training soon.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I’m a person who is reliable on and off the field I know what this profession comes with and the responsibilities that I will have on and off the field and this is something I’ve been preparing myself for since I was coming out of high school.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
Whether I end up in the NFL, AFL, CFL or any other league in the world I will give my all to whatever team that decides to take a chance on me. I was a division one prospect coming out of high school just because I’m coming from a DIII school doesn’t make me any less of a player than anyone else in the country. Every player and coach that I have played with or against will tell you how hard I play and how high my work ethic and talent is.
