What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?
When I entered college I wanted to increase my knowledge of the game to make myself more valuable. I believe I have completed that goal by playing Free Safety, Strong Safety, and finally Linebacker. This knowledge has helped me increase my overall understanding of defensive schemes.
Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?
I believe I gained maturity and the skill to adapt throughout this year. I also gained a greater knowledge of the Linebacker position. This year has taught me that the game of football can be taken away from you very quickly, and sometimes it can be completely out of your control.
Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?
My coaches and teammates would describe me as passionate and energetic. My position coach has expressed to me that he loves that I play at 110 mph during the game.
Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?
I look for the overall tendencies of the offense. The offensive line often gives away the type of play that will be run and the offensive formations can give a hint as to where the offense wants the play to go.
Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?
I have played multiple positions in my football career, therefore I understand defensive schemes fairly quickly. I also add speed to the linebacker position that some linebackers who have played that position their whole career might not have.
Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?
This off season I plan to increase my overall speed and flexibility, as I train and prepare for any pro day drills that I will participate in.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
I have played multiple positions in my football career, therefore I understand defensive schemes fairly quickly. I also add speed to the linebacker position that some linebackers who have played that position their whole career might not have. I am also a fast and athletic linebacker who loves to be aggressive at the point of contact. I am a punctual person that is very rarely late to anything, and I adjust to changing circumstances and schedules very well.
Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues?
Any team that gives me an opportunity will get my 100% dedication to the organization. I am a punctual player that will work hard to make an impact on the defense and any special teams that they need me to play on.
