Chase Day: 2020 Pro Prospect Interview

Name: Chase Day
School: Louisiana Monroe
Position: LB
Height: 6’1″
Weight: 231

Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I wanted to become a better all around linebacker. Dedicate more time to the film room and change my body physically.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

My coaches and teammates would say that I am a great teammate and smart football player.

“He has a very high IQ as far as football is concerned,” ULM defensive coordinator Mike Collins said. “He understands where everyone is supposed to be and knows what they are supposed to do.”

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

I focus on everything to give me a slight edge on the other team. Focus on the quarterback tendencies, favorite plays, and weaknesses shown by players.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I am a true student of the game and a very versatile player with experience at multiple positions.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I am training at Michael Johnson Performance and with Clay Mack Skills.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I will bring great character on and off the field. No off the field issues. Also a great football IQ on top of that.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

I will be the hardest worker and very prepared to play at a high level right away. Coming from a DB background to LB is definitely an advantage I have on other LBs that can’t play outside the box.
