Bruno Anyangwe: 2018 Draft Prospect Interview

Name: Bruno Anyangwe
School: Shepherd
Position: Outside Linebacker/Defensive End
Height: 6’1″
Weight: 235

Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?

Help propel our team as far as I could towards a championship and to help teach the younger players on the defense.

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Intelligent. Clutch. Playmaking.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I have been training on my own, with a regimen given to me by a former teammate who went through the process.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

I like to focus on the keys from the Tackles and backfield sets. In pass rushing situations, I like to focus on the Tackle and what type of protection they generally run.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

My natural ability to not only get to the Quarterback, but to also get the ball out of his hands. Out of my 15 sacks, 7 of them were forced fumbles.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

Making big defensive plays in big games. I’ve always seemed to become a smarter pass rusher in those situations.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

During my senior year, I played all defensive positions from Free Safety to 3 technique depending on the package and the situation. Versatility and playmaking has always been my strong suit.
