Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?
I had high hopes going into my final season, and I accomplished almost all of them. Being a premiere blocker was one of them. Itʼs all about effort. And that was something I took pride in. I am a guy that lets my actions speak for me, but when needed, I wanted to be more of a verbal leader as well. Since I stepped on campus, I had a lot of guys looking up to me. I wanted guys to feel comfortable coming up to me and asking me questions. Thatʼs exactly what happened.
Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?
Unorthodox, Unique, Natural.
Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?
The same way I have been training my entire life since I started playing this game; with a chip on my shoulder and trying to outwork myself everyday. I am my biggest critic, supporter, and competition.
Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?
First I like to see how defenses as a whole line up when their opposing offenses get in certain formations. I would watch film strictly based on that first. Then, I like to key in on how they play other teamʼs best player. Specifically when that guy is a WR. How they line up when he is in the slot, backfield, and out wide. Lastly, I identify the weaknesses and the strengths of the DBs.
Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?
My ability to create separation in any route. Ability to locate the ball as soon as itʼs thrown and quickly adjust my body placement to catch it. Learning any type of playbook quickly has been a huge asset of mine.
Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?
Being a jack of all trades. I can play anywhere you need me. Also, my accountability. Iʼm a joy to be around and my attitude will bring the best out of people physically and socially.
Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?
Thereʼs no one else in the league with a name like mine! Not to mention, I have the talent to match it! I was meant to play this game and help bring wins to my team. To be honest, I hope my film and in person interaction will be enough. The name is just a bonus.
