Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?

Mindset I had entering my final year was to have a season as great or even better than I did last year. I wanted to leave the younger guys in my position group with tools that will make them even better athletes on and off the field. Elevate my game to the highest level and produce more success as a team and individually.

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Smart, Relentless, Passionate.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I am continuing to train at a higher level and focusing on different individual drills working on footwork and other fundamental tools that will help me have a better performance on game day.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

With me being a defensive tackle, I focus on the offensive line. I watch each lineman individually and see what type of player they are, whether or not they are showing key tendencies for certain plays. I also check to see if I can tell pre snap when they are pulling or going to pass set etc. I look at the entire offense overall to know when they are more likely to run or pass the ball, depending on where they are on the field and the down and distance.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

I am versatile and I am always looking for ways to improve my game. I’m a leader on and off the field. I am confident when I’m playing and a student of the game. I can adapt to the game as it goes on. I am a culture driven guy. I know what it’s like to be a part of a successful organization and staying hungry and not becoming complacent.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I will bring character, ambition, and tenacious attitude. Always ready to get after it and improve day by day. Ready to come to work with purpose, pride, and passion in everything I do.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

My final pitch is that I can bring a great deal of hard work and integrity to your organization. I have a lot more play left in me and this is only the beginning of my career. I’m hungry and ready to elevate my game.
