Q: What were some of your goals heading into your final collegiate season?

Not more so of a numbers thing, but more of a maximize all opportunities type goal. I felt like setting a goal for a number would make me stress myself on it each game. My goal was to take advantage of all opportunities, not go down on any first hits, and to set an example for the younger players on our team. We started the season with 65 freshman on the roster, so being an example to them for Lincoln’s future was a top priority.

Q: If you could describe your style of play in 3 words, what would they be?

Physical, Aggressive, and Composed.

Q: How will you train and prepare this offseason for the draft or other pro opportunities?

I’ll have some NFL veteran players taking me under their wing. A lot of work with Marcus Nash and Kevin Johnson on my Receiver game. I’ll be working at NASH Performance Training Facility in Vegas when I can and spend a lot of time with the team at Alpha Training Facility in Newark, Delaware for my pro day prep.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on or look for?

How the teams play every Receiver and how they play the number one Receiver. How teams swarm to the ball to dictate how aggressive my open field running will be. How aggressive the corner is with his press, that will pretty much dictate the game because if I get a corner who tends to shy away from contact then I’m coming at him with full force. If he’s aggressive, I’ll watch for what releases I’ll be working for that game.

Q: What separates you from the other players at your position?

I play more big and aggressive, and I try to be involved on every single play, especially the runs. I feel like my effort for blocking in the run game is something that’ll really separate me from a lot of their Receivers. Also, that I never give up with my play. Regardless of what the scoreboard says, your going to get 100% of me every play.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

My consistency in building my craft. I will make it a challenge to myself to work the hardest on the team and to beat everyone to every workout, practice, film session, or what have you. I’ll make a statement that I will be the most prepared going into every single week and constantly be grinding and improving throughout the year and offseason.

Q: What is your final pitch or sell to NFL and other pro league scouts?

When it comes to looking for a Receiver or an athlete you’d like to represent your team, you’re going to find players who time faster in the 40, you’re going to find players who played at bigger schools, and you’re going to find players who have other connections. But, if you want someone who’s going to give everything they have and more on and off the field regardless of who’s in front of them. If you want someone is going to make every sacrifice in order to serve you and show through efforts and attitude, their gratitude, and how thankful they are just for the opportunity to be involved because it’s an opportunity that saves many lives, then look no further. This isn’t something I do just for myself, I do it for my family that’s here, gone, and that’s to come. I’d hope I could be in a position to prove this to you in something you could feel and not something I could tell you. Giving me an opportunity doesn’t just sign a kid who you think can play, it brings in a player who is going to try with all his might to make the overall franchise better day in and day out. I’m willing to do whatever it takes, if it’s being at the facility at 3am for extra work, or being the first one to jump up and run for the water when you say you’re thirsty, I’ll be the one. Allow me to show you better than I can tell you.
