What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I set many personal goals and team goals… one personal goal I set was to make All Conference and lead my team in tackles. Team goal was to win conference and we came up short from that.

Q: How do you think you took advantage of the extra year of eligibility to increase your chances of going pro?

I took this extra year of eligibility to be more mature in which the game slowed down a lot for me and also I became much more football smart and was able to catch up on team tendencies when watching film.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

They would say I’m a selfless player. Going into the 2021 season we got a new DC and he brought in his own LB that he wanted to play and I split reps with even though I was going into the season as the leading tackler of the Southland Conference from spring season. I never complained and still managed to lead the team in tackles although I was splitting reps all season.

Q: When you are studying film, what are the things you focus on to improve your game?

I focus on the linebackers the team we are going to face are going up against and I see why they do and what works and why doesn’t work to apply it to my game plan for the week.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I can play MLB, WLB, and off the edge in which I had a lot of QB sacks off of.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I plan on working on speed because speed is the name of the game in today’s world.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

I am committed to being the best possible teammate. I will do whatever is asked for me to do to help the team win whether it’s give scout looks or play a new position.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL and any other pro leagues? 

I hope to get a try out with a NFL or CFL team. I got the film, size, accolades, and everything needed to at least get a try out spot.
