Q: What goals did you set and/or accomplish in your final collegiate season?

I set a few goals prior to my final collegiate season one was to be an all-conference selection in the league another was to out do my last season, score a touchdown and lead my team into a bowl game or playoffs. Reflecting on my senior campaign I was able to accomplish all of those except for playoffs, I was selected MASCAC All-Conference, had 14 receptions, 160 yards, 1 touchdown and qualified for the New England Bowl, although I felt we could have done more I was proud of my team and how hard we worked.

Q: What would your coaches and teammates say about the type of player you are?

They would say he’s the harder worker in the room. There’s not much else to be said, I’ll be in the gym at midnight while everyone’s partying, I’ll hit the field to run drills after class or leaving the library. In the summer I beat the school bench press record for 31 reps at 225 and one rep at 405, I set my mind to it and accomplished it after 4 long years. I was just dedicated to maximizing my potential and being the best me I can be.

Q: When you are studying film, what do you focus on to improve your game?

I focus on my weaknesses, I literally nitpick myself so that I can get better because if I just watch my good plays, which I still think it’s important to recognize your strengths too, but then you will not create a hunger that will help you grow and work on your weaknesses.

Q: What separates you from the other pro prospects at your position?

I believe I am a jack of all trades, I can block like a lineman, catch like a wideout and run hard as well. I combine all three, I like to think of myself as a Swiss army knife of the offense, and other than that it’s the fact that I will outwork them, and if they work harder than me I will match their grind I never back down.

Q: What is your offseason plan to train and prepare for professional opportunities?

I have already gotten into my training routine with my combine lifts and on field work. I’m planning on reaching out to people who can get me a combine or a look from someone, because all I need is an opportunity and the rest will speak for itself.

Q: What kind of strengths and abilities will you bring to a team that will stand out both on and off the field?

On the field I will bring leadership and positive motivation while holding my teammates and myself accountable. I am incredibly passionate and it shows, I love the game and my team and I give my all for my brothers. In the locker room, I create bonds with teammates and share good laughs and memories and always protect my teammates in situations off the field.

Q: What is your final pitch to the NFL or any other pro leagues?

Since I started playing the game at the age of 10, it has meant everything to me. Along the way I have been doubted by some and praised by others but it hasn’t meant anything to me because I was always solid about who I am and what I am worth. I have dedicated the last 5 years to get myself physically and mentally where I am at right now and will continue to exponentially grow in the future. My love for this game is infinite and so is my desire to work and succeed. I love winning and I play to win, at the end of the day it’s about competition and I compete till I can’t go no more, this is my dream and I will attain it all costs, I just need the opportunity to display who Aleksander Kocaqi is to the professional environment.
